about us

As childhood friends, we grew up in the golden days of the Atari 2600, and then later we were both exposed to programming with the natural progression to the Atari 8-bit computers (800, 800XL, 130XE, etc.).

A few years ago we started getting back into Atari retro gaming, and in particular Atari 8-bit computer gaming, and this eventually led us to ponder as to why we never became great game programmers “back in the day”?   I mean, looking back we were both pretty good programmers… so we just chalked it up to the fact that we were just kids, game programmers were looked at like some mysterious gods, and assembly language programming was treated as if it was some mystic art form that only a few could perform via some dark ritual or magical powers.

We laughed and thought, hey, why don’t we do it now?   We started tinkering and sharpening our assembly language skills,  and how to make use of all the exceptional horsepower the Atari 8-bit computers had at the time (ahead of their time for sure), and we finished up our first complete game in 2016, “Rain of Terror” to a very positive reception from the devoted and active global Atari 8-bit gaming community. In 2017 we released “War Room” which was also well received in the Atari 8-bit community.

We love seeing and hearing about people playing and enjoying our games and we have made them freely available for download so far.

Current work is underway on a new platformer game, which is based on a platformer-game engine which has been in development for quite some time.  So far the demos are pretty cool.  We expect we will have something ready soon.
